What separates this manual machine from the competition is the above statement. Anyone that's used a standard wire stripper knows that it takes a lot of time and man power to adjust the blade up and down and up and down. This machine saves you that time. Basically there is 1 set of cutter/roller. It's made to cut the tops of wire. The spring loaded mechanism on the top allows you to adjust the tension of the cutters depending on what wire or jacket size you are cutting- this prolongs the blade life.
Note: The drill shaft is most suitable for continuous smaller/medium size wires. It's not made for continuous large wire operations. It can put excess stress on the shaft over time making it vulnerable to breakage. It's fine for occasional use on larger wire, but if you're only planning on running large wire (like 250 mcm and over) you're better off with one of our larger electric machines. Best thing since sliced bread!
Wish I would of had this bad boy 20 years ago, hate to think of all the dinero I gave away to the large recycling companies. This thing really works and definitely get the drill driven option. Strips everything from Romex to large diameter cables. If one entry doesn't work just step up to the next larger size. Absolutely love this machine.

Awesome Striper
I am an electrician and have a lot of scrap copper from time to time. I haven't tried it with any wire bigger than #4 yet, but if the way it strips the #4 is any indication, It will do great. Such a time and labor saver!!

Better Than Stormy!
Stormy may have the looks, but she won't last as long! This machine is a workhorse, stripping insulation off all sizes of wire. Set up with a heavy duty cordless drill and get ready. Bolted to a bench or floor, this stripper makes you money, not takes your money!

Best Stripper I Know
I can't imagine an easier to use stripper. Although we did not have a drill already that was powerful enough to operate (or fit) the machine, even using the wheel (included) it was super easy to strip tons of wires. I ran through all sizes of industrial wiring and it cut through them like it was nothing!!
Save yourself some time and buy this if you find yourself needing to strip wires frequently. I would recommend buying the motorized version, though, to make it even easier on yourself. -

I have put a few hundred pounds through and it still works like the day i opened the box . Shipping was fast and there were no extra charges when it showed up at my door .
The only thing i would change and i did was i added a small light inside the unit to light up the rollers and blades a bit better .
Great product with zero problems so far .
